- Cornbred Barbeque. Hidden inside Downtown Ames’ old train depot, features an award- winning barbeque attraction. It was only a few months ago they went viral over the internet for their famous 1.5-pound cinnamon roll. Stop in for top-of-the-line dining that will leave your mouth watering for more. - Brick City Grill. A classic go-to sports bar in the heart of the Somerset community has been a town favorite since its doors first opened. This restaurant has been awarded as Story County’s Best Sports Bar & Grill and Best Burger for the past 4 years. They offer anything from sandwiches to pasta to seafood, as well as a heavy selection of beverages. Located at 2640 Stange Rd Ames, IA.
- Vinyl Cafe. Whether you’re looking for the next best study spot, or are looking to relive some vinyl record nostalgia, Vinyl cafe offers all of the above including all your favorite coffee drinks. Enjoy the unique atmosphere of this cafe located at 303 Kellogg Ave, Ames, IA.
Rent Local.
- North Ames. This area of town is full of trails and restaurants to keep you busy, but also provides a quiet getaway from the business of the town. Food options line up the road in the community of Somerset, also accompanied by grocery and supercenter stores nearby. All of our Somerset residents will also have access to the Somerset Pool & Clubhouse during the warmer months.
- West Ames. With convenient access to Highway 30, this location is ideal for our commuting tenants. It has also become a popular option for some Iowa State students as it is a quick and easy drive to either Central Campus or the Iowa State Commuter Lot. West Ames also houses great food options such as West Towne Pub, Cafe Milo, & Jimmy Johns. Spending a couple of hours at Perfect Games makes for an enjoyable night out whether you choose a night of bowling, laser tag, or arcade games.
- East Ames. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Ames, yet still want all the entertainment options nearby, East Ames is a great place to start. With Duff Ave. close by, food and entertainment options are endless. The North and East River Valley Park are just a quick walk from our apartment buildings located at 908 Douglas Ave. and 505 8th St.
- South Ames. Known for great walking trails and quiet streets, we offer multiple apartment units within our Village Park Complex. This is a great location to live in as you can find Ames Racquet and Fitness just down the road, as well as an amazing outdoor trail, the Tedesco Environmental Learning Corridor. This location of town is also going to be ideal for commuters, as it holds simple access on and off Highway 30 and Highway 69.
- Iowa State Campus. Living on campus provides students with great opportunities to be close to home while attending classes throughout the day. All of our campus locations are within walking distance to campus buildings, and offer great living spaces. Our apartments are all located on the West side of campus which makes it even more convenient for University students to stop over at State Gym for that nightly workout at no cost.
